Colo-Colo General Meeting has been succesfully held yesterday.

Most significant result of the evening was the resigning of the president and the Board and election of new president.

27-years-old Juha Tiitu, who has played for last 6 months in Colo-Colo’s defence line, and who has earlier worked in several multinational organisations, such as FC Ellas in Helsinki region, has been elected as the new Club president. Juha is first Finnish native president in Colo-Colo’s history.

Colo-Colo would like to congratulate and wishes all the best to the new president and the new Board of Directors, which will be announced later next week.

La mayoría de resultado significativo de la noche fue la renuncia del presidente y la Directiva y la elección de nuevo presidente.

De 27 años de edad, Juha Tiitu, que ha jugado en los últimos 6 meses en la línea de defensa de Colo-Colo, y que anteriormente ha trabajado en varias organizaciones multinacionales, como el FC Ellas en la región de Helsinki, ha sido elegido como nuevo presidente del club. Juha es el primer presidente finlandés nativo en la historia de Colo-Colo.

Colo-Colo gustaría felicitar y desea todo lo mejor al nuevo presidente y el nuevo Directiva, que será anunciado la próxima semana.

The date for the General Meeting has been determined.

Meeting will be held on Friday 15.10.2010 at 19:00 at Taimistontie 3 B 7 Pitäjänmäki.

It is highly recommended that every member of the Club join the Meeting, as the new Board of Directors (President, Vicepresident, Secretary, Treasurer and others) will be then elected for the coming year.

Every member of the Club, who have accomplished their annual payments has the right to vote and to be a candidate in the election.

It is also highly recommended that every member think about their own commitment toward the Club and reveal all the ideas how we can develop to be even stronger and better in all aspects, not only in football fields, but also generally as a multicultural sports club.

Today we will have the last game of the season 2010.

Colo-Colo/UNO will play against HePuLi in Tali football hall. The game will start at 19:00. Unfortunately it is already clear that Colo-Colo/UNO will not compete in Fifth Division next year, but let´s still hope to see great football by Colocolinos today!

Soon after the game, Colo-Colo will arrange statutory Autumn Meeting for its members. In the meeting, we will choose new Board of Directors for the coming year 2011.

In the meeting, every member who have completed their annual payments, has the right to vote.

Colo-Colo Board of Directors will publish the meeting date later.

Season 2010 is now over for our second team Colo-Colo/DOS.

Last game of the season was played yesterday in Pirkkola against current leader Ruila.

This game was expected to be very hard due Ruila’s efforts earlier this season (they had won 9 games from 11 with 41 scored goals and only 11 conceded), and because we have had little problems to build the team for the past few games.

First half was quite even and both teams had some chances but half-time-whistle came with 0-0.

Ruila started the second half hard and was able to get quick goal in the early minutes. Despite the early goal, Colo-Colo / DOS did not give up. About ten minutes after Ruila’s goal celebration, our attack ended with a great goal. Now it was 1-1. After that, Colo-Colo was encouraged to get the winning goal and we had more chances but despite Ruila’s red card, we weren’t able to score anymore.

Ruila was also very dangerous despite their red card and it could have been anyone to score the winning goal. But with hard work from all of our players and the right “Colo-Colo attitude” we were able to fight good and encouraging result.

But now it is time to concentrate on our first team Colo-Colo/UNO and continue the hard work against relegation.

Next Saturday (04.09.2010) Colo-Colo is arranging a party for its members in Taimistontie 3 B 7 . There are going to be food, drinks, music and so on…

Colo-Colo/UNO got it’s first victory of the season after an exciting match against well played Ponnistus/2 held in Myllypuro Sport Park at today evening. The game ended 3-2.

Finally, after difficult start of the season with red cards and some undisciplined behaviour, Colo-Colo/UNO seems to have all things cleared and having 100% concentration on its own game.

Last week, due to the bad start of the season, The Club decided to make some changes inside the team and also nominated Mahfoud Kaoua as the new coach of Colo-Colo/UNO. Former first team coach Jorge Godoy can now focus fully on working as the President of Colo-Colo.

After these changes and tonight’s victory, we can hopefully see more great football by Colo-Colo also in future matches!

Informamos que con motivo de la visita a Finlandia del presidente Boliviano Sr. D. Evo Morales, el próximo viernes 21.5 a las 17.30 tendrá lugar en TALI kenttä 1 un partido amistoso Bolivia -Colo-Colo, donde el mismo Presidente participará en el juego defendiendo su equipo. Los equipos serán mixtos (mujeres y hombres).Debido al régimen de tal actividad el Colo-Colo será representado por un número reducido de jugadores, los participantes serán avisados personalmente.
De todas maneras todos quedan bienvenidos a ver este encuentro. Actividad que el Sr.Presidente organiza para fomentar la amistad y el deporte aquí en Finlandia.

Mister Evo Morales, The President of Bolivia, is visiting Finland next weekend and Colo-Colo is honoured to have an opportunity to participate in a friendly match between Bolivia and Colo-Colo in Tali Sport Park, Helsinki on Friday 21.5. at 17:30. Both teams will be mixed with men and women.

Mister Morales can also be seen playing for the team Bolivia.

Club Colo-Colo will be represented by a few players, participants will be notified personally.
Anyway, everyone is welcome to see this friendly match. This activity is organized to promote the friendship and the sport here in Finland.
